O’Reilly eBook Announcement
Yesterday O’Reilly Books announcedthey are adding some eBook options to their vast library. O’Reilly is one of those companies that seem to be able to keep up with the ever changing business landscape and continue to stay with the newest trends.
They have always had great offerings online and are now going to add an eBook bundle at or below the cover price of selected books, allowing us to get the format we need without a bunch of different useless options. We will be able to get EPUB, PDF and Kindle in the bundle.
An interesting thing about the O’Reilly digital offerings is there is no DRM. They are working on a watermarking system. What this tells me is they are more interested in moving forward than getting caught up in all the debates and dragging their feet while they sort it out.
They are also going to be selling selected ebooks on Amazon for the Amazon Kindle.
